A couple of weeks ago,
Steve Wozniak called for a “more open Apple” at an event in Australia.
Today, I got this email from one of the mailing lists I’m on:
Two weeks ago, Steve Wozniak made a public call for Apple to open its platforms for those who wish to tinker, tweak and innovate with their internals.
Actually, two weeks ago, Steve Wozniak made it clear he has no clue how the present day Apple works or what makes it the huge success it is.
Woz hasn’t been in touch with the Apple zeitgeist in many years. As a matter of fact, he is so out of touch, it’s embarrassing to see him make pronouncements under the guise of being one of the “founders of Apple”.
Nowadays, Woz’s musings on Apple should carry no more weight than that of any other tech pundit – and like most tech pundits opining about Apple, he shows he doesn’t understand the company he is trying to comment on.
Don’t get me wrong – I adore Woz for what he did with and for Apple in “the good old days”. But I’m not an unapologetic fan boy who thinks Woz shits gold and cries rainbow-colored tears. He quite simply doesn’t seem to understand Apple or it’s success and has blinders on when it comes to these issues.
A recent study by the infectious disease division of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s microbiology department has indicated that STD rates among the nation’s Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D, players is holding steady at 0 percent.
“This new data is right in line with previous assessments of the D&D STD rate,” said Dr. Bill Howser, the study’s lead author. “In fact, the STD rate for this population has remained essentially unchanged since 1978, the first year for which we have data.”

Among the graduating high school class of 2012 is one Justin Combs, who finished his senior year with an impressive 3.75 GPA and an equally impressive record on the football field.
UCLA rewarded Justin’s accomplishments with a full, $54,000 merit-based scholarship and a spot in the school’s storied football program. The twist: Justin is the son of hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, recently named the wealthiest man in hip-hop by Forbes.
HELL NO! Not if there is a poor kid who needs the scholarship as much if not more…
