Harry McCracken at Time has an article about “New Samsung Chromebooks Aim to Leave the Bargain Basement Behind”. I don’t know about that – I’ve never used one and likely won’t – but the idea that it has a “faux-leather” or “leatherette” look is….weird.
I’d have to reserve absolute judgment but at first glance, why would you want this? If you wanted a “leather” laptop, why would you go with the fake stuff?
As John Gruber says, “(this is) perfect for people with no taste.”
