DIY is hard enough but…

When the instructions in the box are flat out *wrong* it makes things even worse… 🙁

We went into the Big City yesterday and picked up this BBQ Grill from Home Depot.

Dyna-Glo 5-Burner LP Gas Grill with Sear Burner and Side Burner in Matte Black

Strapped it to the roof of the Jeep and came home (after stops at the hospital, Costco and the hairdresser….busy day!).

Today, I took it out of the box and started to put it together. We’re really excited about being able to grill on our deck so we’re looking forward to this.

The instructions were wrong.

Those of you who know me know I’m mechanically incompetent and shouldn’t be allowed to use tools. But, with clear instructions and a willingness to make mistakes, I can get some things done with minimal injuries.

But this is unfixable by me.

Here is the image from the instruction manual:

Note the circle in the lower center

Here is the actual piece:

This is the same orientation as the instruction manual

Notice what’s missing on the right-hand side!? HTF am I supposed to screw this thing together if the screw holes aren’t where they’re supposed to be!?

And to make matters worse, the company website has *NO* information about this particular model of the grill. I can’t find it for sale on their site no matter how I search.
